Down with the snobby and up with the snazzy!
Couples getting married today are very fortunate that the wedding industry is HUGE! Pretty much anything you can think up you will find somewhere (and if its fun florals then you've come to the right place!). With that in mind I have a story for you...
Once upon a time I found myself feeling out of place, the event itself was wonderful but Pick Me just didn't quite fit . Pick Me strives to offer a high quality service with a fun and quirky edge that very much reflects myself as a person. I'm comfortable wearing bright coloured leggings, a dress and docs, it's just who I am!
So from the experience of feeling out of place came an idea, to show people the really quirky and wonderful suppliers that are out there! And from the sea of normal stood out someone who I would class as 'pretty awesome'!
I would like to introduce you to...THE HIPPY HARPIST!
Q: Who are you?!
A: I am BECKY! The Hippy Harpist!
Q: What exactly is it you do?
A:I perform my harp at every life event you can think of, and I also embrace my weirdness and encourage others to do the same thing through music.
Q: Do your harps have names?
A: The big lad is called Smithy. The electric one is called Smubrfette.
Q: Milk into tea before or after the water?
A: AFTER! (Before is sacrilege, who does that?)
Q: Weirdest request for a wedding?
A: I haven’t really had any weird requests, maybe because I am quite weird and I don’t realise that they’re weird.
Q: Best bit of the job?
A: Making people cry (with happiness) and seeing people connect with my music. I also love meeting people!
Q: One tip you’d give a couple newly engaged?
